Blues Brothers - The Complete Edit

A couple of years ago alternate and unreleased audio tracks from the
soundtrack appeared on the web, I compiled them and made an alternate and complete soundtrack last April. (which the OST
was lacking over half of the music used in the film). After I saw a Youtube fan edit of the Minnie segment, I noticed
that it was the complete song from the soundtrack minus the scenes of Jake and Elwood though out the song. Without
Elwood and Jake I thought to myself ?Why Not.! I can do it better!? To start with, this version has the most complete
edit of the film.
What?s different?
a) The audio was re-mastered from the Extended Version DVD 2.0 audio
track. I bet you are wondering why. First of all the Blu Ray audio tracks have excessive echo effects added. Number two
with the Minnie segment in order to edit the audio, I was forced to down to 2 track audio due to limitations to mask the
edits in the Minnie segment and a few other segments of this edit.
b) (16:47 - 17:02) Jake and Elwood drive up to
the Triple Rock Baptist church - In the Theatrical DVD the audio had piano fading into a church organ. In the Extended
Version had a police siren with a church organ. My edit has all of the audio elements mixed together. Note : The Blu Ray
theatrical edition utilizes the audio from the Extended Version.
c) (1:02:28 ? 1:02:53) I used the extended opening
music from the OST for ?Think? layered on top of the dialogue.
d) (1:06:43 ? 1:06:52) The Blues Brothers car
leaving the Soul Food diner was rescued from the theatrical version. Virtually the only scene in the theatrical version
that wasn?t in the Extended Version. (Except right before the show the theatrical version has the crowd almost silent,
the Extended Version has a more rowdy crowd. 2 seconds worth) According to a Movie Censorship site there were more
?trims? in the Theatrical Version that were not in the extended version.(I have researched this and found it not so)
e) (1:06:53 -1:07:03) The audio from the lightning storm outside the Curl up and Dye salon was from the Theatrical
Version? The lightning strike sound effects didn?t sound correct of the way I remembered them also not in sync with the
lightning flashes in the Extended Version.
f) (1:20:19 -1:20:30)The opening cords from ?the Theme from Rawhide? was
restored from the OST and layered over dialogue.
g) (1:41:39 ? 1:46:50) Minnie the Moocher ? WOW what isn?t
different about it. If you hear the Extended Underture for Minnie, you will then know that was the template for the
editing that I did. The song was originally trimmed down and edited out of order. Now I present the song complete and
edited in proper order. The Extended Underture has over 3 minutes of instrumental music before Cab Calloway sings a
single note. This instrumental portion was used for Elwood and Jake sneaking around the Palace Hotel Ballroom parking
lot. The scenes fit quite well at the beginning of the scene. The music in the background and scenes now match the order
of this rare alternate audio recording. 
1:42:09 -1:42:33 this scene was shown much later within the song
1:42:39 - 1:43-51 this scene was shown much later within the song
1:45:54 ? 1:46:12 additional verse was not in
the original movie

h) Video comes from the Blu Ray Extended version (except for the scene of the Bluesmobile
leaving the Soul Food Diner? There were better colors on certain scenes in the DVD and other scenes from the BluRay were
better. It was a toss-up so I went for the definition.
i) Not to mention the horrendous subtitles have been
redone
j) Spell checked caught misspelled words.
k) There was missing dialogue
l) Many lines of lyrics
were not there as well, 98% of it all is now corrected. 

DVD that contains a fan edit of the complete
soundtrack.

I have also isolated GOD MUSIC using the 5.1 DVD audio and using OOP techniques.
Also, I
have added a second subtitle track with the song track listing.
