Dutch
Tijdens een storm spoelt op een strand in Kaapstad het verminkte lichaam
van een Chinees aan. Politieman Sizwe Miya ziet het als de perfecte kans
om zich te bewijzen en zijn felbegeerde promotie binnen te halen. Zijn
chef, Venske, geeft hem de zaak maar stuurt een jonge agent mee om een
oogje in het zeil te houden. Al gauw ontdekt Sizwe dat het gaat om een
moord die verband houdt met de smokkel van kostbare zeeschelpdieren door
de Chinese maffia. Van 'Specialist', een vroegere vriend die inmiddels een
berucht crimineel is, krijgt Sizwe een tip die uiteindelijk leidt tot een
grootscheepse actie tegen de smokkelaars. Maar Sizwe kan het transport van
de in beslag genomen schelpdieren niet begeleiden, want Venske roept hem
terug. Vervolgens wordt de lading gestolen. Sizwe beseft dat hij net als
Venske een marionet van 'Specialist' is geworden. Maar hij is niet van
plan om daarin te berusten...

For beat-cop, SIZWE MIA, a Triad homicide is an opportunity to make
detective. His investigation quickly uncovers an elaborate scheme involving
his criminal ex-comrade SPECIALIST, his boss VENSKE, and a mysterious
Chinese shipping executive, SOONG MEI. He gets his promotion but the police
are corrupt and self-interest has overtaken personal loyalty. Sizwe is left
with no-one to trust, and integrity demands that he betray his comrade and
take the law into his own hands.
