Dog Of Mystery is a vely early incarnation of Monster Magnet. Consisting of John McBain (played on Spine Of God) and Tim Cronin (early vocals/stage show co-ordinader)
They recorded two demos called (And Therein Lies The Rub) and (Metal Head Of Robeson). Most of the time Dog Of Mystery was a two man operation but the live incarnation of the band was a completely different thing though.
The line up was a continuous freak show, sometimes they had two drummers or three guitarists and always multiple singers. Dog Of Mystery continued in this formula until Dave Wyndorf joined them as they morphed into Monster Magnet.
This is a rare cassette recording that I have digitally converted. have enhanced the sound and removed alot of the hiss. There are occassional clicks of the tape being stopped as this is how the master tape was recorded. Still these are very minimal and I edited out as many as I could.
This is some very experimental psychedelic freak-out shit. All on 4-track.
