Using console commands to change the game to your likings is the idea here.



Problem with using commmands like "sv_cheat 1" not only dose it open cheats for the admin, but everyone
connect to your server can also enter cheats.



Most cheat commands arent to bad, but just to name a few "noclip","god","z_spawn" are ones
that will crash your game or make people leave.



To protect the commands you do want to use without the use of "sv_cheats" you will need sourcemod

and metamod so you can use sourcemod to open your commands.







Setup:



Ive made a video on youtube, you can access from this torrent. Just open the .html file called

1.Download Sourcemod v.1.21

http://www.sourcemod.net/



2.Download MetaMod v.1.7

http://www.sourcemm.net/



Sourcemod + Metamod is already added into this torrent.



3.Merge Sourcemod+Metamod into one folder.



4.Copy & Paste Sourcemod+metamod into "left 4 dead" subfolder located inside the l4d installion folder.

Example -> C:Program FilesLeft 4 Deadleft4dead



5.In the same folder, edit Gameinfo.txt.

Add this to the bottem of the page then save.



GameBin |gameinfo_path|addons/metamod/bin



6.Notes: need to start a map before you try this.

Run left 4 dead then open the console.

To enable the console go to keyboard settings then enable devepler console.

Open console with ~ key, the key above tab key.

Type in "meta list" if it shows 3 plugins installed then your sourcemod ready.



7.To use left 4 dead console commands with sourcemod is pretty simple.

Before each left 4 dead console command enter this sourcemod console command.



sm_cvar



Example of left 4 dead CC use with sourcemod



sm_cvar z_speed 50



Then to enter multiple commands put a semicolum after each command. Semicolum is the key next to "L" key. You
can only enter 8 commands at a time i believe
