Like before these demos have been spread over a few official compilations. The 1991 Box Set, Collectybles and Thyrty.
In October 1970 Lynyrd Skynyrd recorded a demo at Quinvy Studios. Producer Quin Ivy did not care for their sound and passed on signing them. the tapes were passed on to Jimmy Johnson of the Muscle Shoals Sound Studio and liked what he heard so much that he took the band under his wing and recorded over an album's worth of material for a producer's fee if the album was released. the band never forgot what he did for them and in 1975 and 76 the current lineups went back and polished the material up with additional overdubs to release an album from the songs they did not re-record over the yrs . it was set to be released shortly after the release of their next album Street Survivors. then the tragic plane crash happened and was named simply Skynyrd's First And...Last. this collection contains those 1970 demos Jimmy Johnson heard , a 1969 demo, three unreleased and not overdubbed mixes from the 1971 (everything was basically overdubbed in some way on the official versions)
