  These are new and improved versions of the copies that have been
circulating on newsgroups and the torrents but have been "re-mastered" to more closely resemble the layout of the books.
This collection includes Peace Work which has not previously been available. 
  
  
  Features:
 

  Hyperlinks
  
  Many place names have hyperlinks to Google Maps and Streetviews showing where they are
and this has been done for as many place names as possible. Where a place has not been linked it is either because it
has already been linked or the place cannot be found on any map. Spike may have made up the name, got the wrong place or
it no longer exists. For example, Isonzo is a river in Yugoslavia not a border town, many of the Italian mountains/hills
are not named on Google maps and although Mill Hill can be found on an old map I couldn't match the site of Worthingholm
girl's school with a modern location. I think I found Robin's Post but the people who live there had asked Google to
blur out the Streetview of the place so the house name plate could not be checked.

Italian translations, Google image searches and some YouTube videos which include:
  A video showing which parts of
the 'Hitler - My Part...' movie actually came from the book (the link is on the cover)

  This Is Your Life 
  The 1973 episode of TIYL is available
on YouTube and features many of the people who appear in the books. I've not linked to it in any of the PDFs mainly
because I couldn't find anywhere that seemed to be the right place but it's out there and a simple search will find it.
It features a brief snatch of the band playing 'The Boys From Battery D' which is really cool!
  
  
 

  
  Google Earth
  
  Attached are Google Earth .kmz files which show the major locations for each
book. While the links in the text show each individual place, the GE files will give an overview. Also the 3D buildings
are pretty cool, too! :-)
  
  
  
  Audio book
  
  The audio book version of these PDFs
is the same as the normal version but with the audio book chapters included as attachments with clickable links to play
each chapters included alongside each chapter heading. These open up in your own mp3 player. 
  
  
  
  Spelling
  
  Spike's spelling mistakes have been corrected and the spelling has been re-anglisised from
'-ize' to '-ise'. 
  
  
  
  Name changes
  
  'Chaterjack' in 'Hitler' has been
corrected to 'Chater Jack'
  'Fontana' in 'Goodbye Soldier' has been corrected to 'Pontani'
  Jimmy/Eddie
Molloy has not been changed between 'Goodbye Soldier' and 'Peace Work' as I'm not sure which is the correct one but I
strongly suspect it may be 'Eddie.'
  Colonel Startling Grope is an obvious name change but I've left it as it is
and the real name can be found with a simple internet search.

the multimedia experience I've made from these books as much I've enjoyed doing them. They have been a labour of love
for me and I think they give a better understanding of the places that Spike visited and the situations he found himself
